Serina Fuglestad Sikveland

Cand Psychol

My research interest is social cognition in babies and young children. For my final thesis on the clinical program at the Department of Psychology I am working with Lotte Thomsen on research concerning the building blocks of social cognition. We propose that there is something analogous to universal grammar in the domain of social relations. This grammar consists of a universal set of abstract kinds of social relations, and innate skeletal knowledge of these kinds that guides learning, inference, and indeed experience in the social domain.
